Will this head unit fit my Octavia?

Featured Replies

Hi, advice needed please!

Would this Android head unit fit my '06 Octavia estate, and is there any risk of battery drain?

Thanks!

it probably will fit but you will need to find the right facia which will fit properly and you will need to get the correct loom aswell.

I personaly would always steer clear of this fad of cheap double din units simply because they offer a huge amount for a very low price telling me they are poorly and cheaply made. I would never spend my heard earned on one

Thanks.

Just a thought, with these smaller head units, are the screw holes for securing it to the dash still in the same place?

If you get a single din headunit you will need a instilation kit which includes a cradle that the headunit sits in. This will have screw holes in the correct location

I have used the Erisin units in 3 of my privious Octavias and they were very good, the only issue I had was that I needed an extra antenna booster to get good radio signal, though the area I am in it is poor any way. As said you may need to get the Nav surround if yours does not fit. all the screw holes are in the same place. the eastiest way is to pop the dash tray out and then you can pop the GPS antenna under the dash near rhe screen and it works great there, plus you can seat the cables easy from there before poping it back in.

I'm looking at getting one of the Erisin android units so it's a straight swap, size-wise.
