Error in Owner's Manual, Fuse 10 on battery

I think I just noticed an error in the fuse information given in at least one version of the owners handbook/manual. Maybe others could check what theirs says about this fuse, please?

As also described by Lee01 in his Fuse/bulb guide in the Fabia guides section, Fuse 10 in the battery-top fuseholder is described as 'Engine Control Unit 15 Amp' in the pdf version of the owners manual that I have (Designated Fabia anglicky 05.07 on the last page/back cover). In the copy of the manual I'm referring to it's page 188 (picture) and page 189 list of fuses in the battery holder. Probably not the same page numbers in all versions

I can't find any evidence in any of the current flow diagrams for this fuse ever being for the Engine Control Unit, nor ever being 15 Amp...

It's either 5A and used to send 'raw' battery voltage to the Onboard Supply Control Module under the dash, or 10A and used by the ABS controller on later cars, as far as I can see.

Anyone got a manual that says anything different? Anyone actually have a 15A (blade) fuse there?

Just checked the hardcopy manual that came with our car (08.04 On last page) and it is correctly shown as 5A.

  • 3 weeks later...

My (Dutch Vraagbaak) manual says  5A, (Regeleenheid voor Boordnet).

Pic of my fuse there.
