Adaptive Front Light System

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the adaptive front lights on the SEL/Edition have an option to switch over to right hand side driving for when I take mine across to Europe later in the year?  I thought I had read this somewhere but now cannot find it.

I'm not fond of those EuroLights adapters!

P73 of the online manual:-

When driving in countries with opposing traffic system (traffic on the
left/right), your headlights may dazzle oncoming traffic.
Therefore, the Full LEDFront headlight setting must be adapted by turning on
travel mode in infotainment in the  /  →  → Light menu. In this mode, no
automatic beam adjustment is made ahead of the vehicle.

Nice one, thanks.  I downloaded a manual but couldn't see it in there.

That doesn't suggest the lights are adapted for driving on the opposite side if the road though, but that it's only turning off the auto adjustment.  Are the sticker adapters still required?

Query.

With the adjustability of LED lights there should be no problem with setting them for motoring abroad and those stickers won't be needed.

I think even the Bi-Xenons on the Yeti can be set for continental driving.

They can.

Thanks Graham, thought I'd read it somewhere even though I haven't had cause to try it out in recent years.

Bi xenons on the Octy VRS and Superb 3 also are adjustable for euro travel via the infotainment menu.
