Loom.

Hi Clive,

Have only had the tailgate wiring breaks; the replacement kit for that is made by German firm, Sencom, worth a look on their website?  www.sencom-kabeltechnik.de

Tailgate wiring repair kit was superbly made and my local garage chap found it easy to fit.  I ordered it direct off them.  Price was £49.51 and that included P&P, website said extra 10 Euros for P&P but they must want to clear out stock for what is now an out-of-production car.  Guess they may also do a driver-door kit, best ensure it is for RHD driver's door as extra wiring to the mirrors control unit???

HTH.

Richard.

Had a fun morning fitting new wiring loom to drivers side door.

Not had opening windows since beginning of winter, it was fun just doing windows up and down both side's, yes I know bit of a sad'o but when you'vs done a good job it's fun. Oh yes, the little red light on top of the door which worked then didn't then worked again, is now working again.

Is the loom you have in your picture easy enough to get out, my gfs windows have stopped working and I'm assuming this will be the problem

Hi DM, it's just a matter of taking your time. Once you get the door handle cover off, it starts to fall into place what to do next.

It's easy enough to check if the wires are actually broken before you take the whole lot out, just pop the car body end of the rubber boot off and slide it back along the wires. You'll soon see breakages if you have any.

I too have no functioning electric windows. Took the rubber boot off and discovered i had the Brown and red/White wire ALMOST broken. the plastic cover of the wires are gone but the copparwire is still in Place so to speak.

Although this fact, can this be why my windows wont work?

Another thing, the window of passenger-side is also not working but if I disconnect the wiring-loom to this door, then the passengerwindow works! but only like 5 minutes/not after I have locked and the unlocked the car.

WHY IS THIS?? both the fuses of windows are intact.

Please help anybody? It is hot as hell in my roomster since the AC also is not working  :( :(

Replace the driver's door wiring loom and all will be fixed, very easy job to do should take around an hour start to finish, just get some spare clips for the door card and you'll need a drill to remove the rivets for the speaker and then some to refit it

Ok thanks daxmatt! I guess this is the only way to go. But can you explain the behavior of my passengerwindow? And any suggestions of where to but the wiring loom except from a Skoda-dealer where it

COSTs around 90 Pounds..

@Eddiboy - You passenger window has a control on the driver's door yes?

As to the cost of a wiring loom, do you actually think that competition car builders pay specialists to make up wiring looms just because they can?

Yes the driver door has a Button for The passengerwindow aswell.

Well, there's your answer as to why a problem with the driver's door wiring can cause problems with the passenger window.
