Just a thought...do you also have the A5 camera fitted?  For things like TSR and high beam/lane assist?  Mine is a MY17 car too which may have different settings ? 

 

I'm going to have to take my wife out tomorrow, no not for dinner, to try and get a picture of the 'ghost SUV'. 

As you can see on the photo, the car has Lane Assist - so yes, it has the A5 camera. It´s a MY16. I´ve ordered a new Superb; will be exciting to see, what car that´ll show in the MaxiDOT.

The white Octavia is certainly all I can *remember* seeing. But the problems with undertaking (in my case anyway) are that firstly I have only rarely been in that position - rarely enough to start this thread after the first time it definitely happened - and secondly my eyes were on stalks looking out for the idiots vfrvrs talks about, so I didn't really notice what was going on in the maxi-dot. FYI I'm also in an MY17 (April build) with LA and the A5 camera.

Penguin speaks the truth  - I've seen the ghost Car!
Twice in fact. Maybe it's just that I was subconsciously looking for it. First time I saw the white Octavia as per the picture in one of the posts above, plus the left-hand part of a different car (SUV? Transit van?) to the right of it. Second time it was just the SUV/Transit. As Penguin says, it is clear when you see it that the car shown is in the outside lane compared to you. And each time my car braked to avoid undertaking. So at least I now know the system is working.
