Over the past 14 years, my driving profile hasn’t really changed as we haven’t moved or changed job locations. Do an average of 12-13000 miles and that includes about 8 daily short runs to the local station and the other shifts driving to work. On my 3rd car with a DPF and never any problems. Plenty of problems with my Polo but not DPF related. 

 

Depending on mileage would be the decision between petrol and diesel and what you prefer. 

I forgot, electric tailgate is pretty great - especially when the car is dirty. And with a quick vcds programming you can open / close with the key fob.

 

On a side-note it must be a dream to buy a car in Britain (or any other country for that matter) as our taxes in Norway is literally insane. I planted everything on our option-list except panoramic roof, alarm and parking aid 2.0 and with discounts we paid 43000GBP for it.
