Skoda felicia airbag installing

Featured Replies

Hello

Can any one help me? I have bought some components to install airbags to my felicia.

Wiring loom, airbag ecu and the airbags. What else do I need?

Are there crash sensors? Where are they located in car? How does it look like? Do I need special seat belts? Any information please?

You forgot to tell us what car you have, type, model, LX or GLX.

In fact it would be best to edit your profile to reflect that.

It is a glx

The crash sensors are included inside airbag control unit.

You don't need to install pre-tensioned seat belts unless you want to. I mean they are not connected with the airbag system. The explosive charge is activated mechanically by an inertial mass, not electronically.

You will need a VAG-COM interface and software (version 409.1) to configure the ECU and activate the airbag indication light in the dashboard.

What steering wheel does your car have? Is it same four-spoke as airbag one, or basic two-spoke design? If two-spoke, what's shape of horn button?

There is difference between old (oval shape horn button) and new type (circular shape) in steering column dimensions. New type should be same length as airbag, but in all cases you need to change steering column for deformable one because of safety.

Seatbelts should have pretensioners for safety reasons.

Thank you. So do you know any thing about it's wiring diagram?

The plugs behind the dash in the loom so fitting should be plug and play possibly air bag light after... fitted both passanger and drivers air bags and removed them... For a base spec crashed with out one and still here... The seat belts are diffrent orso ie pre tensining... yep they hold ya in your seat well enough with out a massive bang in front off your face.... What parts have you got....
