Remap recommendations west mids

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a Mk2 1.8tsi Se Plus FL, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a company to apply a performance remap to this car in the West Midlands?

i have been quoted between £200 and £450 for the job and results from 175bhp to 210bhp (152bhp stock) and 300nm and 350nm (250nm stock).

has anyone had any experience with remapping this particular car? I am happy with how this car pulls off, however due to the low stock torque (I think) it's a bit sluggish when overtaking etc.

i am aware that you do indeed get what you pay for (I.e. The £450 map is probably going to be better/service is going to be better). But just wondering what other people have experienced/recommend.

Many thanks in advance,

josh

You're not too far from R-tech in Nuneaton. Drop them a line and see if they can remap your 1.8 TSI. They will be doing my 2.0 TSI at some point in the future, having already done my 1.8T in the past.

Brilliant,

cheers for that link, really impressed with the knowledge displayed on the webpage. will give them a call later to talk about my specific engine and if they can do it then I'll most likely go with them.

cheers again for your help with that,

I used AP Automotive in Telford, they are a Shark Dealer, so got my shark map without having to travel so far!

Cheers for that Raymundo, have dropped them a message through their website

AFAIK R-tech don't map TSI engines.

Had a chat with one of the guys on the phone to see if he could do it (my CBAD engine wasn't listed), he said he would ask the chaps if it was something they could do and I havent had a reply since...

So I'm guessing you're right :D

They definitely map the 2.0 TSI CCZA/CCZB 200bhp/210bhp engines in facelift Octavia vRSs, mk6 Golf GTis, Sciroccos and the like. Drop them an email and badger them again.
