I have a 2005 (55) Fabia vRS, I've recently put a set of coilovers worth about £400 and the handling has improved a lot. What I now want is a remap but I'm worried that if I map it the clutch will go and don't want to be spending 100s more on replacing the clutch. Celtic tuning will take it with a stave 1 to 180bhp and I'm not sure if my standard clutch which is on 167k miles will just see its last few days if I do go ahead with the map. Any thoughts ? Thanks

Welcome.

Best do the clutch, then go Stage 1.   Or you might be left without transport while getting a clutch fitted.

If it were me I'd get the map done if it was a good map and not just a dump the peak power type. See how it holds up with the old clutch and budget for a new one soon after.
