Edition electric driver seat memory

Featured Replies

Hi all, question for Edition owners...

Does your driver's seat automatically adjust depending on which key was used to unlock the car?  Mine doesn't want to auto adjust when either key is used.  Have to press one of the number buttons on the chair to adjust to the stored position.

From looking in the manual it suggests it should auto adjust.

Was that feature an extra option, seem to think it was....

The driver key personalisation was an extra £35 I think

Yes, the seat WILL auto adjust if you press the '1' or '2' button presets on the seat itself.

If you opted for the 'driver key personalisation' option in the configurator then the seat will automatically adjust depending on which key is used as the driver approaches the car.

It will also set the zircon temp, mirror positions and the infotainment setting for each of the drivers.   I opened for this so will have a little 'play' with it with the wifey on Friday :D

For the Seat memory In the Manual it says  for Applies to vehicles that do not have the personalisation function.

Memory function of the remote control key   I will know better tomorrow. You have to activate it first, then I would think and I might be wrong, but make sure it’s not reading the first key when you set it up for the second key.

I had this issue at first. But working now. I set the personalised to manual for key selection. Also works with key less entry. Could bit of playing around.

Thanks all, will look into it some more and try and work it out.  I didn't see a personalisation option in the configurator when I ordered my car, only personalised drive mode which looked like it was just for the actual drive mode.

Found this in the configurator, but it doesn't really tell you much !

Storing front passenger ́s exterior mirror settings for reversing
The function for lowering the front passenger's mirror area during reversing can be activated in Infotainment in the menu  /  →  → Mirrors and wipers.
› Unlock the vehicle with the remote control key and switch on the ignition. › Turn the rotary knob for the exterior mirror control to the position for the
front passenger mirror area » page 81.
› Engage reverse gear.
› Adjust the front passenger's mirror to the desired position.
› Disengage reverse gear. The adjusted position of the exterior mirror is stored
in the remote control key memory.
› Press any button on the driver's seat or the  button on the remote control key.

I assume if you use the other key and have set it up that key it will automatically adjust to that key. I will find out later, and because with the wife sharing the driving I was hoping it would.

Thats how it works on our Mk2 Superb Elegance.  The only issue is, the seat takes a while to adjust as it doesn't begin until you open the door.  It may be exaggerated for me and my wife as we are as far apart size wise as possible.

Thanks for the help guys, I hadn't realised the option in the Columbus only showed up when the engine is running.  The seat position is now saved to our two standard keys.

Can someone help me find this menu setting in the Columbus please??

I cannot find ANY reference to activating/deactivating seats in ANY of the given options.
