Quick question about vRS mode on my 245 DSG. 

 

What’s the difference between sport mode selected by flicking the gearstick downwards (from D to S) and the sport mode selected manually through the vRS button?

 

I seem to activate the engine sound actuator using the vRS mode but it doesn’t activate when using Sport through gear stick. 

 

Just wonder if things like throttle response is better when selecting sport mode using vRS button.

Flicking down on the D/S on the gear shifter, just engages the gearbox sport mode.  Using the drive mode selection changes things like engine noise and steering weighting also (and chassis/damper settings if you have DCC)
