OneApp not connecting

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I can connect my adroid phone via androidauto with no issues, but the Skoda OneApp is unable to connect. I can't work out why. I tried plugging the phone in and then exiting to the mail screen on the radio to try to find a new button specifically for OneApp connectivity, but found nothing.

Maybe I am missing something really obvious....

I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Cheers!

If your phone is anything like mine (Moto G5 Plus) it doesn't have MirrorLink compatibility. I've done everything I can think of to get it to connect, but it just won't do it. According to Mirrorlink it's only on phones from HTC, Huawei, Samsung & Sony

Have you tried it over wifi as well as plugging in??

My phone works with mirror link. But this is different to OneApp as far as I am aware.

What I am looking for is the diagnostic information the app can provide.

My car doesn't have WiFi connectivity.

ok, whe you're connected via android auto, have you tried runnig oneapp on the phone and see if it connects?

Just tried that no luck.

This is what the app shows.

After Android Auto 3.x loads of apps are having problems - Google made some changes that blocked the functioning and access of most apps except audio streaming ones :(

...if you really want that particular app, you can always maybe try to downgrade Android Auto to and older version on the phone?

My phone worked fine with the oneapp using a mobile WiFi device to connect to the car and phone but I've now removed the app as it tracks too much info for my liking ie max speed travelled at and where and when. Don't want to make it easier for the police.

I managed to get the skoda app to work on my samsung. But tbh used it once.

Has anyone managed to get their phone fully mirrored?

Ie have their phone on the screen?

I gave up with it. It was infuriating! One time it told me it took me 2 hours to drive the 25 miles from Blackpool to Bristol.....

Didn't it work?

kinda worked ok once connected (seemed to want WiFi to be reliable), but it would never end my journey cleanly, hence thinking that Blackpool to Bristol was one whole journey (It was actually me driving from Blackpool to Gloucester (home) one day and then Gloucester to work (Bristol) the next! on top of that, EVERYTIME i had it plugged in for car play, it would crash it and make the HU disconnect my phone before me having to then reconnect it. Life is much happier without it. Especially as all it provided was a really rubbsih boost guage screen and a journey cost

I haven't able use  it. I actually just want to see it is working.
