OneApp update version 1.6 changes

Featured Replies

Without warning I noticed a new interface on the OneApp screen via CarPlay the last few days.

Gone was the handy screen featuring the digital meters for horsepower, brake/gas % and oil temp all in one screen.

And in came a clunky customisable widgets screen with one large meter for turbo power or brake/gas % or other less useful measures, and four small icons featuring a choice of measures such as horsepower, gas %, car temp (not in absolute value, just cold/warm/hot, and the 'warm' doesn't even fit on the silly little widget - it just shows 'War...').

Skoda give us the details of the update on iTunes:

- We keep OneApp up to date and bring new features!
- Enhanced car mode
- Now you can collect starts and achievements
- Compete with other users of OneApp
- Bugfixes and overall stability

Not sure I'm keen on the 'collecting starts' [sic], I use the car for work, not for achievements or brownie points. And what's with the competition with other OneApp users? I want OneApp to keep a log of all my drives for accounting purposes. I can't even find a way to export this data from the app! Anyone worked this out yet? And what in the car mode has been enhanced?

Don't get me wrong, I'm good with the car and how it drives, but this interface doesn't appear better to me.

It’s all nonsense!

Shall we collectively raise our concerns with the Skoda app developer and ask them to reinstate the old UI? I'll start...

I've only just used this app, I put the price of fuel per gallon in £5.22 to see how much trips were costing me but it seems a 10 mile trip is costing me the price of over one gallon of fuel seems like the app has a few glitches. A 10 mile trip should cost me about £1.60 not £5.48 like the app says. I am wondering if I should put the price per litre in.  The app is also very generous on MPG compared to the readings on the onboard display, my onboard says 32 MPG whilst the app says 42 MPG.

Getting the same costing as you, I’ve contacted Skoda to get a view on this will post if I get a reply

I entered the price per litre seem to work better even though I’m using the gallon display

I am seeing very similar issues with version 1.6 on iOS in my Fabia Mk III.  I put the petrol price in as 5.45 GBP/gal (I paid £1.199 per litre which I calculate as £5.450654 per gallon) and a three mile drive at 36.5 average mpg "cost" me 1.76 GBP which I interpret as £1.76, whereas I would estimate it much closer to £0.45.  I've tried every which way I can and I cannot determine how it's getting such a different figure.  Anyone got any ideas or got any further on this one?

Kind regards, Alec

Gott he same problem with fuel price, added it as £5.73/gal and did 2 miles and it said it cost me 54p where it should have been about 24p. but as Theolegit said put it in as per ltr it works out about right
