Shipping 2012 Fabia to USA?

Featured Replies

I'm not about to buy a Skoda; I already own a 2012 Fabia in Europe and am moving back to the US. I've owned it for 2 yrs andI love the reliability and great mpg I get from petrol as well as LPG. Should I ship it to the states?  It sounds like a lot of inconvenience & money to ship it, although I'd really like to drive it in the US. I'm not sure how easy it would be to find insurance. I realize I'd have to use some parts from VW for example if the brakes, tires, spark plugs etc are compatible, but the Skoda-specific parts would have to be shipped from overseas. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

If you relocating and it fits inside the container with your other processions then you are no loss taking it with you.

Not sure what the US regulations are on imports and modifications required, might simply be too difficult, or too expensive to conform so that would be your answer.   I suspect it won’t make any sense, especially as cars are relatively cheap in US.
