Black vs Beige Leather

Featured Replies

Does anyone have pictures of their Edition interiors to compare? I'm going for Petrol Blue paint and had settled on Black Leather, but I saw a Karoq in the showroom with Beige and it looked surprisingly good.

Oh beige interior looks lovely but in a years time unless you clean it religiously it shows the dirt and marks - had beige in my yeti and after a year wished I hadnt as nice as it looks

My Superb had beige interior and I really liked it but as mentioned above you do need to keep it clean as it shows dirt easily. Having said that you should regularly clean the black as well. It will get just as dirty as the beige but you can't see it the same. Who wants to ride around on dirty seats.

There are some pictures on the "interwebthingy" which I have looked at, but I would like to see one in the flesh before making my decision as well.

Once read about somebody who was wearing blue jeans, got wet and sat in a car with beige leather interior only to find the beige stained with the blue dye very noticeable and hard to remove so I was always put of even if it does look good in some cars.

Yeah it is high maintenance for sure, but looks great, all depends if you are prepared for the constant attention i guess

This is my beige interior.............

I have the Petrol Blue colour, and the beige interior goes SOOOOOOOOOOO well with it it's unreal.   B)

my petrol blue should be being made in June

Not long to go now then......................WOOOHOOO

No not long now, especially as it was expected to be built Sept originally so a bit of a surprise !.........we used to chat when I had a Yeti but you wont remember lol.......I originally wanted red but not at an extra £900 so then I went white, then the wife saw the petrol blue in the showroom and that was it

I run my Superb SEL EX with black leather seats as a Private Hire car, my mate runs the same car, an older Elegance with cream leather.

It seems my black leather is higher maintenance, you see every fingerprint, every spec of dust on the black and has to be cleaned everyday with Autoglym leather cleaner, his can go 3 days without cleaning the leather, other than a vacuum.

Just saying

I don't sorry.

On my travels this afternoon I happened to drive by a  dealer that had a Petrol Blue/Black Leather Edition sat outside. Think this will be the combination I will be going for.

After many years of sitting on the cow, I purposely went for the non-leather option. My last car had stone grey leather seats and was comfortable. But I wear jeans regularly and I had to clean the leather on an irregular basis.

I tire of cold seats in the winter! I know they can be warmed up by seat heaters, but I am hoping the alcantara will be far less cold to the touch.

As the warm spell continues Im finding the alcantara seats don't get uncomfortably hot.

So far so good.

Here are my pictures, it's not bad as people make it out to be in terms of maintenance, we also have BMW in beige, both cars are family used, they all need occasional cleaning but nothing major that would result in regretting this colour.

Given that all of my cars going back over quite a few years have had black interiors and many of the colours go really well with the beige I really fancy going for that option for a change.

Must admit that I've never cleaned or fed the leather in any of my cars. They get quite light use anyway and the leather, compared with years ago, seems thinner and more flexible and doesn't crack like it used to. However, this thread has prompted me to give my seats some care.

:) Bit confused though - I presumed the Edition came with leather as standard. Did you specify alcantara in place of leather?

Hi,

waiting for my 1.5 SEL DSG to be delivered.  I have ordered the beige leather as had before on my old Saab.  Love to see it fresh and clean so seat covers if going to the tip and gardening jobs, without covers on normal duties.
