spectacle storage space

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if there is a designated space to keep a pair of glasses on a karoq edition 2lt dsg 4x4.

I believe there is? Other people have the cars though lol. In the reviews I’ve seen, they have them fitted.

Well, there is on our SE, so I expect they'd have two, fur-lined, in an Edition :D

SE has "Glasses storage compartment" in standard spec.

I am guessing this is in the overhead moulding near the rear view mirror. It should be a drp down flap moulde inside to take your glasses.

Exactly so.

On my Edition there is no catch to open a compartment and there are 4 little vents  on the surface.  Is that how yours is configured?

I think on the edition  you  miss out as this is where you electric panoramic sunroof buttons are.  I keep mine in the cubbyhole on the dashboard where the extra speaker goes if you upgrade to canton sound system.

Yes there is a separate storage box just down to the right, by your knee. Unfortunately, on the Edition you lose the overhead storage in lieu of the pano roof and controls. It's a struggle to fit a pair of reading glasses and a pair of sunglasses in it though. Alternatively, there's the storage box on top of the dash, unless you have the Canton sound system.

I do have the canton system so you are probably right. Its hardly a major problem but it is good to have a dedicated place to keep your glasses.

Ah, different then? This is ours....

Yes there is, you can use the small storage area by your right knee (when you're sitting in the driving seat) as this is an ideal size.

Well it seems like it is something  you lose when you have the canton and sunroof. On reflection  I think I can find somewhere else to keep my glasses. Thanks to all for your input.

Do you think I could put my oakleys in? Good space etc?

Don't see why not.

Better than the little cubby hole down by the wheel. All we can fit in that is a £1 coin purse. Oakley's should be fine in the roof one.

i love how electronic systems end up taking over practical space, another one dashboard compartment becomes sound speaker, you also with audio upgrade have to have spare tyre as this enables an amp to sit

Handy to know As they are only in a little bag they came with, so with children this is a better option lol.

Didn't realise there was a cubby hole other than the dash board one?

Wouldnt mind seeing if this could be brought separately, as that’s where the sub woofer is, if I’m not mistaken?

I was just thinking maybe that could be used instead of an independent sub which takes up space.

It's not a sub woofer, but a center spreaker. The sub woofer is in the boot. Nested in the spare wheel if you have one.

I have the Edition with the Canton Sound System so I lose out on sunglasses storage because of the sun roof and the centre speaker.

Does anyone know what the double pair of vents are at the top front of the sunroof control area?

Normally on most Skoda/VW group cars the microphone for the hands free is in one side behind that little vent
