Having the need for an estate car meant we had to get rid of the Elegance hatchback, so been looking for a nice one recently. Found one some many miles away which had a decent spec so headed off this week to pick this up.

 

 

 

Some little bits to sort out to get it just as we want it, but on the whole it's not far from what we want really.

 

Dashcam is hard wired and working, Columbus system maps updated (twice, as I did it Thursday night then new maps arrived Friday morning).

 

Needs a proper clean and polish inside & out, needs the glove box damper replacing as it's been snapped, needs a new power socket as it's got the chrome peeling off, and other stuff as and when we find it.

looks good in race blue  would look better with the black grille fitted

Quite a major update. The vRS is not for much longer I'm afraid.

Nothing went wrong really. Just sold it and bought something a little more to the wifes liking. Mind you, in 6 months she might like something different again...

Might cheaper to trade the wife instead of the multiple cars !!!

Found a few easter eggs too. App Connect is functional, tow bar fitted, spare wheel instead of snot/compressor, Lane Assist so should hopefully be able to activate High Beam Assist, cruise control, and a few others too.

Some further options. It was advertised with 18" Mallory wheels but they're actually 19". Wife is pleased cos bigger is better innit, I'm less pleased because bigger is less comfortable and more expensive tyres. Folding mirrors. Keyless. Found the Adblue tank which the dealer and the wife knew nothing about.

 

Dash cam is now wired in and working so no spaghetti across the dash.

 

Not sure the name will stick, don't fancy being involved in a drive by shooting any time soon...

Have you seen the price of second hand Tiguan wheels?

Are they more than you would get for your 19" wheels and tyres?
