Featured Replies

so i went out with my dad today and my car has died. up the dualcarriage way at about 75 when i noise sounding like a blowout hissed its way out of the engine followed by enough black smoke to mistake for london smog out of the exhaust. it wont hardly move, makes a scrapping noise when it does move and is still smoking like a b***h. called the skoda AA thing and they have taken it very kindly all the way to leicester from halesowen and dropped me off on the way to pick up a renault megane from b/ham airport.

NOT pleased at all as it is now the 7th time i have taken this car back to the dealer.

1) wing mirror lights not working

2) centre brake light showing faulty and beeping when pedal pressed

3) turbo problem

4) turbo again

5) and again

6)and finally turbo completly replaced

by the way i have only had the car since november 05 and the car is a 03 plate

the thing inside the car that lights up so you can change the direction of the mirrors and turn the heated mirrors on and off. guess most peole call it a switch :)

whatever the problem is its staying at the garage till its fixed, the AA guy noticed too that the engine cover nut was missing...nice one skoda...did you forget anything else whilst you were in the engine

I would agree with Ross, it happened to us in SWMBO's car shortly after we got it.

Big bang followed by lots of black smoke and no power.
