DSG7

Featured Replies

Hi this is my first post on here as I recently purchased a Skoda Superb just a few weeks ago.

I have a potentially dumb question to start with, how do I know if my car is DSG6 or DSG7? I thought it was the latter but I dont see the car change up beyond D6 or M6, or does the reverse gear count as 7?

I love the car but the gearbox takes some getting used to (coming from manual Passat B6) , it hesitates sometimes when I go to put my footdown as if its not sure what gear to be in. Ive tried to switch to manual control of gears in some cases and it works quite well. Any tips for a newbie on this?

Welcome.

6 speed if it just shows D6 & does not go to D7.    Reverse does not count.

?

Which engine do you have?

If it's a model from Before 2018 it will be a DSG6

The solution to this question is relatively simple.

Drive your car on a highway speed and look at your maxidot if it's D3, D6 or D12.
