Aussie Mk3 VRS Octavia Wagon

Picked up a Mk3 Octavia VRS Wagon a few months ago and loving it still everyday I drive it.

Came rock stock with DSG and Black Pack.

Slight change from a tuned Mk5 GTI Golf but still feels quick for a family sled.

So far I've done airbox mod and few VCDS changes.

Bought some H&R 40mm springs which will go in very soon. Then Ive got a few sets of BBS wheels in the garage to try on once it's been dropped.

H&R Springs were fitted the other night and I'm very happy with the modest drop in height. Ride comfort is still great and better than expected.

Wheels are next. Currently refurbishing a few sets of 18" BBS and Ronals.

Looks very subtle and sharp.

I like it a lot.

Any further plans?

Thanks mate.

I'd like some more aggressive fitment so will be swapping wheels soon for another set of forged BBS. I'll change tyres at the same time now I've picked up a set of Continentals CS5.

Very keen on a rear sway bar to reduce some understeer so might grab a solid Superpro one soon.

Then I'll do discs, pads, lines and fluid to improve the braking.

Tune will come after the warranty is up, but I'll keep my eye out for a used JB4 for the time being.

Few shots from a winery we stopped at over the weekend (Primo Estate). Very lucky in Adelaide as it's only 15 minutes to the hills and you're surrounded by some of the best roads and wine in Australia!

Great wheels.  Remind me of the ones fitted to the 25th Anniversary Mk4 Golf GTi (but they aren't split rim)

Updated wheels again :)

Gone OEM+ with Audi S3 wheels, 19x8 ET49 with fresh Conti CSC6 235/35/19 which are great tyres.

Ordered some more bolt on parts which will go on soon but for now I'll enjoy driving it everyday and take pics from time to time

Clean Mk3! The Audi wheels look good, did you end up getting anything done on the brakes?

Sorry I missed your reply, I don't get on her often enough. I've got all new DBA discs and pads to go on with a service very soon. Just a step up from standard.

I have a pile of other bits to go on shortly:

Colour coded badges

Superpro RARB and drop links

Reiger front splitter

Intake hose and turbo inlet

JB4 with Bluetooth

19x8.5 BBS CH009

My last addition was a Maxton rear spoiler

Had car serviced, new front discs and pads and fitted the rear ARB with new drop links. The ARB has made a big improvement to handling, pulls the car around much flatter than before, and feels less boaty.

@smokeyshiva the badges are blue inside and chrome like the standard ones.

Yet to fit the JB4, intake and turbo inlet. New BBS will go on soon now they have been painted and I’ve sourced some very rare blue caps to go with them.

I recently entered the car into the Classic Adelaide Rally which runs every year in the Adelaide Hills here in South Australia. Stunning day out with hundreds of other very cool cars driving hard on some of the best (closed) roads in Australia. The car handled it all so well thanks to the new front CSC6 tyres up front, RARB and brakes.
