What brake DISCS / PADS combination?

Featured Replies

Hello guys , what brake setups do you have? What would you recommend?

Thinking of  Zimmerman's sport drilled + ate ceramics.

For the Aussies -

just fitted up the following to my 09 vRS TDI

RDA slotted and dimpled

RDA heavy duty pads

braking power strong, no fade to note.

a bit of squeal which we're putting down to dust in a dimple or slot

probably should have gone softer pad as the car doesn't get driven too hard these days.

brake feel great when warm, a bit wooden on cold application then start to progressively bite.

again, probably should have gone standard RDA pad.

I put Pagid disks and pads all round on our VRS CR. They have been pretty good over the last couple of years. Due a brake fluid change soon.

Normal spirited driving at times.

I try to use Pagid discs and pads on whichever car I own - they may squeal a little at first, but I have found them to be strong and progressive.

Pagid pads and discs all round on 1.8 tsi L & K, they work strong and progressive with no fade at all.
