Radio Presets all wiped

Featured Replies

Got into my Karoq Edition today and on my 9.2" Columbus Display all the DAB Radio Presets were blank, as were half of the FM ones. Has anyone else had this problem. Taking the vehicle to my local Skoda dealer on Monday to reset/upgrade the software (under warranty of course). With a bit of luck it might fix the harsh overbright Canton sound too.

Hi - Just wondering if you could have used a different key than you usually use. (ie, the spare key or your wife's / partner's key?)

Many facilities on modern vehicles are "Key Specific". Using a different key will bring up the items selected with that key alone.....Hope it helps..........Tony

My wife leaves her key in the house as I am the only driver. But thanks for the tip. I'll see what the dealer reset does.

any update on this?

We got into the car the other day and husband commented that some of our radio stations had vanished too, we thought we had set them all up at the beginning but then you question yourself.  Husband just connects phone via bluetooth normally to listen to his mp3s

Similar thing we had memory seat presets wiped

memory seats seem to be remembered on ours,... so far

This is going to sound really silly but I thought this the other day but it turned out I had accidentally flipped to FM from DAB and the presets don't carry over from one to another...

that's what we put it down to too, that we probably didn't set up the FM stations, then I saw the post and got me thinking, hopefully @FabFabFabia will come back and update us

I took my Karoq Edition into the dealer yesterday and their technician indicated that there could be a fault with the Columbus so he said he would be speaking to Skoda for advice. He said the software was already up to date on the head unit. I expect to hear back from him this week but I'm not holding my breath.

with my new Karok all presets were blank , I went under configuration for radio and all three FM , DAB, and AM reloaded based on how good reception is the one with poor reception did not load

your correct prokaryotic but it seems some of the presets are being lost after a few months of having the vehicle and them being set up

Three times I have lost the stored DAB stations. It’s been back to the dealer once after the 2nd time. They stored a few dabs stations & could not find everything wrong. All fine for a few weeks, then they all went missing again. But still tuned to last station listened to. The car is now booked in again, hopefully they will find the problem or escalate it to Skoda UK. Not impressed, but very happy with the rest of the car

Neither my dealer nor Skoda ever got back to me about this fault which happened twice to me over the summer. Touch wood it hasn't happened since I updated the Columbus navigation maps to 2018-2019.

Has happened on the Columbus in our Kodiaq too. Was in at the dealers yesterday to be looked at but not sure what (if anything) they did!

While I was at the dealer today one guy in the queue before me was reporting his Kodiaq loses the radio presets too.

Has anyone been provided with a fix to this issue? I've lost the presets 3 times in 6 months along with the radio station logos.

I lost mine twice in six weeks so took the car into the dealers.  They had the car for two days and have installed a software update.

Been OK for the last 3 weeks.

Hi

Mine was losing it presets and seat memory position. Got fed up putting them back.

when I took it in for service the other day and mentioned it to the service guy he tapped the reg in and there was an update for radio and seats.

since then all has been good,

even came back from dealer with original stations preset.
