Nice pictures, though in need of some post processing. You're white balance is a bit off - notice the blue cast.

Depending on the camera, if possible, shoot raw and then convert the pics with some decent program where you can manipulate the settings (ie photoshop + adobe camera raw).

As for the snow itself, looks like Finland from december to april.

Btw, Furby vRS is a great winter car. I've really enjoyed driving it through the winter. Only addon it needs is a decent diesel auxiliary heater (I've got Eberspächer).

come again?? lol! I don't really understand much past pointing the camera and clicking! but thanks for the feedback anyway! I have photoshop, but I'm not all that brilliant at it, and it seems to be a little broken at the moment :( would like to learn how to use it properly and play with my pictures!

ahhh see I wanted a border collie but I got ripped off!! mines half springer spaniel too! Got her for my birthday when I was 7! I'm joking about being ripped off, collie and spaniel is an awesome combination, she's ace!! I love her to bits, clever, friendly, loving, loyal and absolutely gorgeous! couldn't have asked for a better pet!!

Okay, a couple of explanations seems to be in order.

1) white balance is the way "white looks". As the way white comes out depends on the color temperature ie it's different when it's sunny, cloudy, you're under tungsten light etc. But the good thing is that with digicams you can change it to suite your eyes afterwards with photoshop etc. So, in your pics the white was looking a bit blueish, but by changing the color temperature to a bit warmer it'll turn back to white.

2) raw. most cameras produce jpegs by default. there's nothing wrong with this in general, but this means 3 things: 1) camera has already processed the image 2) jpeg is a way of compressing image which means you lose some quality and 3) because it's been compressed already it's not as versatile to postprocess. Here steps in raw (or nef for nikon). raw images are the exact capture what your cameras sensor sees. furthermore raw hasn't been compressed and no in camera processing has been applied to it. and even better, it gives you excellent template to start postprocessing with photoshop + adobe camera raw.
