Just got my I.P remap

Featured Replies

Well I thought I would pop into Impossible performance and ask to book my car in, as it happened he could do it there and then, so about an hour later all was done.

I went round the roundabout, thought, that feels a bit pokey, but did not want to push it, then got on the straight, and the verdict, instant laughter and well spent money!!! I cant say what the other companies offer are like, but if your near the south east I would definitly recomend them.

As one of the Briskodians that you met there on Saturday, I can only say "What did we tell you ", knew you would be pleased, and I think you will agree that Mike is one of the easiest people ever to get on with. Nothing is too much trouble.

Welcome to the slippery slope of tuning!

I'm booked in for Thursday and can't wait. I'm glad to here that you have a grin on your face but after a couple of weeks it might start to ache a bit!! :D

Just looking at the details for the RR day, and see that you say you will attend but will not run.

Yea right, with a remapped car, and you will not be on the rollers.....................................Now where are those flying pigs??:P

Back in for a rest!! its good, the boost goes way higher than before, over 1.5 bar i think, but I dare not take my eyes off the road long enough!!

1.5 bar on a K03s sounds a bit high...

1.5 bar on a K03s sounds a bit high...

0.1 bar beyond it's rate maximum....so it probably was 1.4bar seen.

thats what my boost guage reads, used to be 0.5 bar, but goes right up now

Have a word with Des about that:D

If Mike has put the usual one on, then it will be a 1.2bar map.

We did tell you on Saturday that it would become very interesting to drive...;)

OK then, the above could/maybe/might be the start of an Impossible signature !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You just got to have one. It's impossible to be noticed without.

Gerry, another day off? Lazy barthrug!

well I have had the wife watch the guage, it's not going as far as 1.5, more like 1.2bar, so that should be better!!

I never asked mike if there are any do's or don'ts now it's been mapped, is it safe to keep at high boost or is this likely to dammage the turbo?

i know the engine should be left at idle to cool the turbo, but anything else?

p.s. the wife did not even notice it had been done at first, (typical) mind it was on the motorway.

The boost will only come in at that pressure when you really boot it, most of the time you will see 0.7 ish, just enjoy it..

Get it up to about 70ish and boot it and hold it, she "WILL" notice the difference, you can also demonstrate when pulling away if you really wanted to.

Do they do diesels, ie my pd130?

Might fancy having the barge have an extra towing rope for the toe path.

Yes, they do diesels, ring Mike on 01634 710777 and have a word.

IIRC they did those very well too - didnt go with them due to having fitted a bunch of other stuff done at JBS but these guys sound like they're very good as well

It makes the performance much more 'on tap' compared to the standard maps, be it the petrol or diesel :D

Is it spiking at 1.2 bar and then dropping back to 1 bar, if it is that's OK but if it's holding 1.2 bar for more than 500rpm take it back. You should have a 1 bar map to start with.

Hi Delcac, I'm sure it's holding over 1 bar, all the time while accelerating hard, I shall go out and test it again, and if it's over 1 bar I will pop in and see mike tomorrow.

Mind how acurate are boost guages??

Dragging the wife out the sofa for a test!!! Changed the cam belt tonight, not too bad a job, just a pain getting in really, saved a feww pennies though!

Well it spikes at about 1.25bar sometimes a little over then drops to about 1.1, then at about 5000rpm it drops off to 1bar and a bit under as the engine aproaches 6000rpm.
