RLS retrofit issues

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just finished with retrofitting RLS on my Octavia MK2.

All came out well just the coding part is what gives me headaches.

My glass is, according to This, normal laminated green glass which would be index AG, so I coded RLS as: 0730BB (48 % light (glass index AG) and 187% rain sensor correction (also Glass index AG))

I also set Assistance driving light acitvation delay from 6 to 0 seconds in adaptation channels.

All the codings in Central Electrics are done (ADL enabled, CH/LH enabled), I can see settings on cluster:

Byte 12: Bit 0. Coming home timer start - ticked for door opening

Bit 2. Coming Home Mode. Unticked for automatic

Byte 17: Bit 3. Coming home via fog lights - ticked (my choice)

Bit 4. Assistance Driving Light (ADL) active - ticked

Bit 5. Coming Home (CH) active - ticked

Bit 6. Leaving home (LH) active - ticked

Issues:

1. CH works, LH is not working.

2. If start car with switch on OFF position and turn it to AUTO, if is dark outside it will turn on lights, if is daylight it will not turn them on.

3. If I start car with switch on AUTO it will turn on lights no matter what (day/night). If I switch OFF than AUTO again, works as expected  (lights on if dark).

Any help kindly appreciated.

I think the sensor has a mind on its own. Today (daylight) when I started car with switch on AUTO everything worked fine, the lights came on for like 2 sec and then went off. Drove for 15 min, stoped the car, went shopping for 15 min and when I started car again lights came on and stayed on for 15 min drive to home.

Don't know.
