M1 fabia vrs

Featured Replies

Hi guys i have a fabia vrs 207bhp 280ft pounds of torque when i put the foot down it take so long to hit boost what could this be its so annoying. I dont think its a boost leak as its not black smoking and and theres no noises that sound like a boost leak. Any help thanks

actuator not set properly or map needs adjusting

obviously not a standard turbo running that much power

How would i set the actuator? I have a pd 150 hybrid with supporting mods and it takes so long to boost. Got it mapped by ##!!## wich are meant to be good so cant see it being the map

It is either the actuator setup or you have a vacuum leak, or both.

As said above definitely an issue somewhere as the PD150 isn't exactly a laggy turbo.

Oh okay as soon as i floor it should i be feeling the power instantly? Ill have to get it checked out

around 2k rpm it should start to feel strong. if its taking time to build boost from high revs as well you probably need the stop screw adjusting. Does it boost quicker if you feather in the throttle gently?

Yes it does takes way too long. Yeh it does or if i plant foot and lift off and put back on its takes off rapid

need someone to set it up for you then as the vanes are shutting too far choking the turbo which is why it takes so long to build boost.

Off the wall suggestion - Do you still have the EGR fitted ?,  Very recently cleaned approx 130 of 150k of soot out of it and responds a lot better, previously felt as tho there was a pressure build up, then it would release.   Just a thought.
