Who's up for a Sportline?

Featured Replies

Here is first look at Karoq SportLine. There were to many people on Paris Auto Show to make a decent video. But here it is. I wonder if Škoda will release RS model next year?

I will do better and more detail video when one comes to Croatia.

Bit mixed about it, as it really doesn't look that 'sporty' compared to a standard Karoq :wondering:

Pricing for the SEAT Cupra Ateca announced yesterday...

"While the prospect of another performance SUV may not bring joy to your heart, the arrival of the first dedicated Cupra product in the UK is pretty significant news. It's promising 'Uniqueness, Sophistication and Performance', aiming to conquer a new group of enthusiasts with its wares and, you would have to assume, build on the favourable following the old SEAT Cupra products enjoyed on these shores.

The Cupra Ateca is a car that's been pretty well received in initial reviews, and now a UK price has been confirmed at £35,900. That's actually below estimates - which were nearer £40k - and will include a "high level of standard spec". As a result the only options available will be a panoramic roof, a towbar, a Comfort & Sound pack with BeatsAudio, an Advanced Driving Assistance Pack, and a Design Pack with 20-inch wheels (up from the standard 19) and Brembo brakes. That's it. The six colour choices - Energy Blue, Velvet Red, Nevada White, Magic Black, Rodium Grey and Brilliant Silver - are all no cost."

Now I do line the quad tailpipes :)

Will this have the 300bhp engine powerplant from the Leon Cupra ?

According to Auto Express: "The Ateca gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 296bhp".

So that would be 300ps.     If Auto Express were to use PS, or 221kW,  but that would require them to know stuff about cars.

The carbon look steering wheel (seen here at the Geneva show) looks to be a winner!

Carbon look looks sh!te really IMO, either have plastic or cover in leather or something or if you need lightness and strength reinforced plastic.

BMW can build a Reinforced Plastic & Carbon i3 with nice wheels and electric and and a motorcycle engine and sell it for less than some car from a Spanish Company with a Carbon Look Airbag cover steering wheel centre.

Shame really, would have been nice to have a bit more go, looks like Audi, VW and Seat get all the sporty engines as usual, comes to something when even the Ateca gets more power than the Octavia vRS !!

Theres no stripes.

Plus there is a 2 litre 190bhp engine. In essence a de tuned Octavia VRS engine

The UK price list has most powerful Sportline as a 150

Maybe other countries get a 190, but it isn't on sale in UK

'Cupra'  the performance arm of SEAT.

The new More Show than go performance arm of SEAT.

That is Skoda and SEAT / CUPRA now, more interested in bling than performance unless you buy a Taxi / Airport Transport sized car.

Buying into the' Motorsport Heritage and Success' means you need to buy big cars not what the Motorsport Heritage or success came with.

Smaller cars.

Wrong

From Skoda UK. Octavia is getting the same engine too.

Do your research...

The interior of the ATECA above is awful. The same goes for all that Bronze detailing.

OK, I will accept you have been sent this, with stock already arrived

However I am reading the current (live on web) price list and it isn't currently on sale, or available to order

so presumably this is previously ordered (non current) stock or similar

Maybe you can ask for a photo of their stock to prove this isn't a fake advert and stock doesn't exist

I'd better not mention that you can already have the SEAT version of the Maxidot in Carbon too - but isn't that also available in other cars from Skoda?

As for 'all that Bronze detailing' - yeah literally overkill - especially as I had to re-look to see what you meant - a couple of badges and a bit of stitching? :mmm:

The wheels too. Horrendous

I thought this thread was about the Karoq anyway. Seems to have gone way off topic :tongueout:

  • 1 month later...

i take it the back seats still can fall flatm ****ed off they are not removable? Isofix?

I actually prefer the front of the Ateca to that of the Karoq  - I think it looks more Skoda and has similarities with the Yeti. Don't like those wheels on the Ateca FR or the Karoq.

I'd consider a Sportline as I'd like the 2.0 TSI but I don't want a pano roof.

I've specced up a SE L 1.5 and without going mad on the extras I'm over £30k. and that along with the APR at the moment means I'm gone very lukewarm to changing at the moment.
