I appreciate this may not be the correct place so mods please move. But I may be able to gain the opinion of some experts as well as my plea. I have a tube of this owned for 15-20 plus years. It seems Turtle Wax has changed the formula. My brother absolutely swears by the stuff given it's ability to remove scratches and scuffs. I used it again recently on a family members car and the results were pretty good. I rarely use it TBH. I personally believe the petroleum distillates content is what has changed(now removed).

 

Does anyone have a tube they would be happy to part with? 

 

I believe there was also a liquid version of it, I never owned that myself. 

 

The product itself comes out like toothpaste and has a strong smell maybe the petroleum and also is gritty when rubbed between fingers, this maybe gives it the cutting power.

You have a point it has a very similar petroleum type smell  to what this has. Just none of the grainy rough pieces. I also find autoglym Powdery, but I have owned the products for many years.
