Kodiaq 2.0 TSI Edition 4x4 DSG

Featured Replies

Hello,

Delighted to join this site. Must be very useful for owners. Many thanks to founder and moderators.

Just bought a 5 month old Kodiaq and am delighted with the car so far. Comfortable, spacious, well appointed and a nice drive. And a petrol! A rare thing in a large(ish) automatic SUV. Hoping that this all continues. Pleased to note that Skoda reliability is generally reported as good. A little concerned about what I read about DSG automatic boxes but fingers crossed that this is not a widespread problem.

Regards to all

Thanks BGB. As you say, amazing car. I'm sure you'll enjoy that when it comes. You've obviously enjoyed your Octavia - buying another Skoda is the best possible recommendation.

Welcome to Briskoda

A warm welcome to the Forum !

Welcome to the forum

Welcome to the family, interesting choice and if take your car to AmD in Essex you would end end with a cut price Kodiaq Vrs with at least 250bhp under your right foot.:D

Welcome.

Nothing to worry about with the DSG's in your car, (where did you read there was?)

just be sure the Oil is changed every 40,000 miles and the Haldex every 30,000 or 3 years.

The DQ200 DSG is the one with issues in cars up to 250 Nm / 192 ps.

Thanks Offski for the reasssurance. Can't remember where I read it but it was more than one place that mentioned possible problems, both with VAG and Ford and dual-clutch transmissions in general. I went ahead with the buy though because the Kodiaq was so tempting in every other respect and because I did also read that VAG had improved their DSG boxes in recent years.

Thanks to all for the welcome.

Enjoy your new car, but stay away from the Remapers if you value your Manufactures Warranty.

Ford Power Shift Dual Clutch boxes certainly have had issues that they were not prepared to admit to for years so costing some owners thousands, just as VW Group have had for a decade with DQ200 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG.   Ford now have put their hands up the VW Group are still in denial. Still screwing over owners.

Your DSG has been well evolved unlike the DQ200's that still have issues of ones being produced as recent as this year.
