Will a Hex + Can VCDS cable work on a brand new Superb?

Yes. 

Can anyone point me to the VCDS instructions for VIM and audible chirp on opening and closing. I've looked in the VCDS pinned section but VIM has no info on it and I couldn't see the audible chirp in there?

Not questioning this, but I'm surprised as there is an app on Obdeleven for VIM - obviously the usual caveats apply re OBD apps and legality of VIM.

I have no experience with obdeleven yet this may be - I only use VCDS.
