19 miles is enough heat maybe for the last 2 thirds of the trip.

If you did not stop but turned around and went back the 19 miles the fuel used might well be less than 2 x 19 miles with cold starts.

 

 

Winter diesel now in the filling stations or should be until March / April.

I would love to have this consumption! 

 I am nowhere near that. So what can cause bad mpg?

 

Air filter

Wheel misalignment

Brakes being applied

Leaky injector (does this show up on the maxidot? As decreased mpg?)

Constant dpf regenerating

Shorting some electrical component? (Makes the generator go crazy?)

MAF sensor?

Intake manifold air leakage?

Egr malfunction?

 

Anything more I can check? How to troubleshoot MAF sensor?

That looks like the instantaneous mpg. What does the average mpg look like on the display.

Yes ofc, but for example when running 110km/h my maxidot is showing between 6 and 7l/100km. 2nd average shows between 6,5 and 7. When I calculated the consumption during fill up, I got 7,1/100km.

Forgive my naïveté but what is Maxidot? Is it the centre display on the video? If so then I have one but what is so special about it that it is referred to as Maxidot and not just the dash display?

Yes. It’s just the marketing name for it. “Maxi” as it has many functions such as MPG etc and lets you change some vehicle settings too

Not all cars get the maxidot as standard, most have a much simpler centre display that can't change settings or show as information like navigation and audio track.
