Electrical quirks on mk1 fabia

Featured Replies

Hello,

have you had these, what I have?

rainy day -> tailgate wants to open occassionally in ~1-5min intervals (like someone pressing button from outside)

fuel fauge drops from 1/2 tank to "zero", gives alarm sign and then very slowly rises to 1/4 ...

If you had these, how did you fix?

Also now power steering light came...

aargh. Could those all be related somehow?

Related to battery problems possibly.

Have you found that blue wire from the cabin yet, to connect the alternator to?

On your car it should run from pin 1 of connector D at the firewall, to pin 3 of the 14-way connector near the main battery earth connection to chassis.

Firewall end:

Mine had some odd random electrical problems. All vanished when a new battery was fitted.
