One Click Unlock

Featured Replies

Hi all, I know there have been plenty of discussions previously about this (I've spent the last hour or so trawling through stuff reading about it), but I'm looking for some help.  As what they're saying seems to be different to what I can see. So borrowed my mates laptop and VCDS to change it so I can unlock all the doors with a single click my 09 Fabia3. I've never used it before, so just wanted some advice/confirmation that I'm not being a total ****wit.

Select Control Module

46 - Central Convenience

Coding - 07

My current software coding is 00018

On VCDS it says:

+00001 = Selective Locking Inactive.

+00002 = 4-doors

+00016 = Central Locking Installed (from MY2008)

+00016 = Central Locking without Power Windows installed (through MY 2007)

+00064 = Central Locking with 2 Power Windows installed (through MY 2007)

+00256 = Central Locking with 4 Power Windows installed (through MY 2007)

It also says: The Coding is the Sum of the individual Options. As of MY 2008 the Door Control Modules are now connected via LIN which results in different codings.

So if the coding is the sum of the individual options, I need to change the coding to 17. As its currently 00016 + 00002 for the 00018.

Is that right, or am I being a idiot?

These two discussions seems to say different, so thought I'd ask before ****ing it up.

Thanks guys.

19, I think.

Thanks, so that's because its not going to be less than 18? As that's the +00002 = 4-doors and the +00016 = Central Locking Installed (from MY2008), so add +00001 for 19.

Yep, plus the fact that I vaguely recall that when I did my Polo I just had to add 1 to the current coding.

Awesome, I'll have a go in the morning and report back.

Thanks again.

Couldn't wait so went and had a go. Working like a dream!

No more facking about with the key while the wife looks daggers with her eyes at my inability to let her into the car quick enough for her liking.

Thanks mate, much appreciated.
