19" Supernova anthracite anyone?

Featured Replies

As per title, has anyone got/seen those wheels on a Superb yet? I'm after the anthracite in particular, not the black ones, as I'd like to see the exact tone of the colour from different angles/lighting but Google search does not bring up many good examples. Nowadays lots of pictures are hidden in FB groups, insta etc. so a bit harder to locate such stuff with a quick search as a few years back.

That's the one:

I have the black Supernovas. Fantastic alloys on the moon white Superb Sportline.

I know black wheels can look aggressive and on some vehicles make the car look great (black wheels and white body is a good one) - probably the contrast between the car body colour and the wheel colour. I saw some black wheels on a grey Audi the other day and from a short distance it looked like a unwashed car from the 1980s with nicked hubcaps - not a good look.

@TerryMcK I guess you pays your money and takes your choice. I saw a new Mustang (on my wish list) yesterday. It was a dark metallic grey. Nice enough, I guess. The owner added anthracite wheels, so he had a monochrome effect. If you go to the Mustang configurator, you see that Ford offer some REAL colours for that car: bright red, yellow, orange, blue! I mean, you can order this muscle car with fat racing stripes from the factory! If a guy has been lusting after a Mustang all his life and orders a grey one, manufacturers must think no one really wants a colour. What chance have Škoda buyers got?

It wasn't a V8, either, but the man had £34K.

Well, as the cars we buy are built (and painted) in the Czech Republic, it certainly begs the question... Did I read somewhere on this site that the wide colour range is to encourage fleet sales? Or did I just imagine that?

I completely forgot this topic after I posted thinking I had subscribed and I'd get notifications...

So nothing from the Briskoda front and even "the internet" can't provide a single such image, I guess there is no Superb with anthracite Supernovas (insert Clarkson's voice here) "in the worrrrld", how weird. Was this colour option introduced for MY19 or...?

I guess that will make them quite a rare sight even by internet standards. Funny thing is I've already made up my mind about taking them off the car at day one and replacing them with a much loved set that I currently own, but still, I'm pretty curious to see how they work together with the quartz grey.
