I know that calipers and the ceramic disc braking surfaces do not do the re-gen braking as he was making out.

That video says brakes are coated to prevent rusting and 90%+ braking will be done via regenerative braking.

 

Whoever said EV brake dust will be an issue obviously have never driven any EV.

I wouldn’t have thought high tyre abrasion wouldn’t be much of a problem in The City.

It must be, as City cars and cars just driven in cities, maybe Taxi like cars, or Prius type hybrids as Private hire cars need replacemet tyres just as any car does.

Some more than others.

Rock hard compound ECO tyres might wear slower but others might not.

As it is hopefully more tyres designed to be on EV's will have grip so traction so friction. Hard to see that being there without there being wear.
