MY19 Vrs

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has been covered already but I have just (thursday) ordered a new Vrs 245 estate (manual) and am still not 100% of the spec. Due end of March. When it says wk 31 onwards ref spec, is that actually wk31 of 2019 or something else, does MY19 start in 2018? Apologies if being thick but want to know if i get 2 or 1 exhaust pipes too! Lol. Cheers in advance

Petrol retains 2 exhausts

Yes MY19 starts in 2018. MY19 has 2 exhaust outlets still I believe.

"Change to vRS TSI Exhaust
From week 31, vRS TSI engines will feature the single exhaust pipe as seen on the current TDI"

Is what i found, but when is week 31 please, any ideas

MY19 starts in 2018 and from the looks of things they still come with 2 exhausts anyway.

Week 31 will refer to Week 31 of 2018, which was the first week of August.

The rumours flying around about the single exit exhaust don't seem to have materialised judging by people who have already received their MY19 spec cars.

Week 31 was August some time. The petrol VRS had been off sale since February. Anything available now should be MY19, there are a few people who have them already - me included

And mine definately has twin exhausts

Oh right, thanks guys. Guess will find out for sure in March. Lol. Also says changes inclue black pack as standard but roof rails are now matt. Oh well, should still drive well !!!!

Thanks Simon. You pleased with the car I hope?

I expect mine in Mid February, a 245 with loadsatoys!

Happy days mate, let me know if you get 2 exhausts ! Lol. Gonna be a long wait but looking forward to getting mine :)

Afaik the MY19 245 rumours that said the exhaust would be single exit haven’t materialised. They are still coming with a twin exit exhaust which is nice :)

Having done a bit more reading i think the MY19's have 2 exhaust pipes but 1 maybe a dummy pipe, but retained for appearance purposes.......god knows ! Lol. Thanks anyway. Hope everyone is enjoying their motors :)

TBQH I'm not going to lose any sleep over whether my car has one exhaust pipe or two, as long as it has one and it goes its all that matters to me.

Honestly they still come with 2 atm. I was peeking at an MY19 245 in the showroom the other day and it has a full twin exit system like the petrol’s always have done. The rumour, so far at least, hasn’t proven to be true. Which is a really really good thing!

Mine definitely smokes out of both pipes when it’s cold in the mornings.

I’ve moved from a 2016 TDi VRS and honestly love it. Mine’s DSG and it’s so easy to drive. It’s got the same size 312mm (?) front brake disks and bigger rears than the old one. It looks like the stance is better too, especially the rear the wheels seem to be wider/further out.

The black pack means no chrome on the front which i like, and black mirrors.

The single vRS TSI exhaust is one of the most talked about pieces of fake news here on Briskoda.. I even took pics of mine on delivery day clearly showing it to shut some people up :) Got some other bloke on another thread telling me I was wrong (even though I had one sitting outside) before someone else chimed in LOL

Thought the front disc's were 340 or 344 mm in size. the later model Tdi Vrs had the smaller front disc's

My Bad, your right, it's the 340/344. The later ones were changed to 312mm. My TDI had the bigger discs

I remember, I took a picture of one that had come off the transporter when I ordered mine, I was told it was probably an old MY18 230 not the MY19 245

I'll post my pic again because I count at least 3 threads where this rubbish keeps coming up, my car was built in Sept 2018 and delivered in early Nov due to WLTP delays adding around a months delay to delivery.

In the pic the fake one appears to be connected to the real one on mine, hmm which one is the fake and which one is real? LOL

Waiting for the smarta** from that other thread to accept he was reading from the book of BS telling me I have a MY18.. he has gone really quiet ;)

The exhaust rumour rumbles on it seems!! Anyway, the updated MY19 spec sheet I was given to look at in the dealer had a number of bulletins that skoda had sent out to the dealer network. In amongst them was the origin of the confusion, I cant remember the exact words but the talked about the change to 1 exhaust. In this up to date version of the spec this sentence had been struck through amd crossed out. Skoda had planned it but changed their minds for whatever reason!

Was it me ? Can't be, I've never been Fn quiet.

Would seem of the original source of the misinformation was Skoda but then again, I can't be expected to remember all the people I wind up.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your car anyways

Rumour has it that My20 will have 3 exhausts....
