Reversing camera and sensors

Featured Replies

Hello...I wonder if anyone could help on a puzzling problem please?...our reversing camera and sensors have just stopped working for no reason. Are they on a dedicated fuse and could this have blown? Or is there an option to disable this function in the cars menu. (We have an 8 year old who likes to press buttons and clear caches and data). I have been through the owners book but can't seem to see an on / off feature for this.

Any info would be greatly received.

We have the 1.6tdi superb greenline model. Sorry posted in Octavia by mistake but don't know how to move to superb II FORUM????

Do your reverse lights still work?

I believe so...my wife has taken the car to work so I can't physically check at the moment. I will send her a message to check them.

Yes the reversing lights come on. I checked last night. All sensors have been cleaned.

Do you have PDC sensors and a retrofit camera? Neither of them should be fused and they are connected to the CAN-Bus system. Check / Get someone to check your DTCs.

Do you have any tow bar installed?

I think if so there is option in the dispaly to deactivate or something due to towing ...

Just a thought..

Thank you 26DIPP and AkisVH for your replies.

Not tech minded when it comes to cars...what's DTC's? And it's the standard Skoda sensors that came with the car. Working one minute and not the next. Is it controlled  via the colombus system?

No tow bar or any such equipment attached to the car.

Head scratching...been through the manual 20 times now to see if we have missed anything but there is not a lot of write up in the manual for the Parking assist etc...

Do you get a 3 second sound when you put the car into reverse?

The PDC is not controlled by the Columbus, but it would be displayed on there.
