Wind deflectors/Dab radio

Featured Replies

Apart from the phone problem, we have dogs who require the rear window to be left open, having tried this the other day the noise from having the window open is terrible, has anyone fitted wind deflectors to there estate if so what make did they get

DAB radio which we don't have on our unit, what are the options for getting this on the existing unit rather that changing it, if this is possible what do I have to get and how can I do this

Thanks

Our dog travels in the 'boot' of our Superb Estate and I'm curious to why your dogs require the rear windows to be open? From my experience the wind deflectors are not a lot of use. Many Japanese imports into New Zealand have them, and most are ripped off straight away.

We have three dogs and they tend to steam up the windows if there isn't a flow of fresh air into the car,

I have three as well - fairly large - but I don't have a problem with the windows steaming up. Do you have the climate control on (I have mine left on auto and 20-22C) when you are carrying them?  I'm not sure if there any differences between the facelift cars and the earlier ones -  my 2014 estate has vents that blow onto the windows in the cargo area. Are you happy that all your vents are working regards airflow?

I have wind deflectors front + rear on my pre-FL estate. I've got the Team Heko set (which I think most on here probably have) from Superskoda - doesn't look like they have any in their web store right now though. They're a bit chalk and cheese - the main reason I have them is to have the windows open a bit without the rain coming in! Not sure they make things much quieter - possibly even more noise with the windows shut!

For DAB, for the moment I just use my phone and stream over bluetooth to the stereo. I think someone else on here can tell you if there's a slightly later Columbus you can drop in ( @Rustynuts I think ).

Cheers found Heko set on ebay 26 quid which I thought looked good and fair price, just the DAB and phone to Fix thanks again

Use my Superb as a dog van now and always use A/c
I have the Team Heko ones fitted when I used it as a taxi but as above they make the car noisier when they are fitted and windows closed also interfere with mirror folding.
Do look good on my brown estate but:biggrin:

That's a good point, also had that but only on the passenger side oddly. I didn't notice until it has removed a bit of paint on the inside lip of the mirror surround.

If I'd have known, I'd have looked at filing or dremelling away a very small piece of the deflector. As it's already happened I've not bothered with the Dremel option so far...

Cheers,

Steve
