I take it, it can also display kmh instead of mph, as I pop off into Belgium & France several times a year on shopping expos.

  • Here it is along with cumbrian accent and a complete lack of production values!!

  • Yeah the tint bit in the middle changes!

  • Theres lots of different combinations, one just has speed and fuel. Others have range or sat nav or multiple things. Its taking some getting used to. You can personalise certain screens too

I'll double check for you tomorrow but should be possible!

Confirmed! Needs to be changed in the general car settings but its there. You can do litres per km too if ypu want to go the whole euro thing! Currently rocking the Skoda Green ambient lighting!

So does the dash tint alter dependent on the ambient lighting selected, cool if it does.......

I'd have blue myself. ;)

That’s the view I’ve been after!! This is how mine will look with the nav until I change the radio. Interesting... :)

Hi

What does the “kw” on the ledt side mean?

The amount of power the engine is developing.

@ExSEATI was recently in Germany for work and had a hire VW Arteon DSG 4motion 2.0 diesel amazing how 'familiar' the interior/controls felt.. infotainment was bolero level but nav/menus identical, I know because first thing I had to do was swop german for english. It did however have virtual cockpit so I could see what I was missing, after lots of messing around as the wheel controls are different I could get the nav instructions inside a virtual dial, I could also get the map in the centre of the screen too, but it them removed it from the main screen.. so that didn't last long as I'm used to maxidot and map on the main screen. Overall all very nice and that kinda next level up on the skoda stuff as expected.. they can keep the diesel engine though :)

@Scotty72 I'm still liking mine and wouldnt be without it. There are improvements I would like to see when it comes to the different displays, like better interation between the unit and the VC but I guess thats the future. Id like to be able to have the google maps in the cluster but I have used the full screen nav and its pretty good for what it is.

Ive not tried the other VW group VCs. I imagine they are the usual same hardware but not as hamstrung as those pesky skodas, good old VW keeping the Czechs in line! I found myself the unfortunate filling in a Seat Cupra/Golf R sandwich in traffic yesterday. Poor cousin as always!

I got virtual cockpit on my new Octy 😎

Now I'm wishing I'd also added ambient lighting 🙄

Don't feel too upset, I used Waze on Weds which works well on the ICE screen but doesn't come up on the dash

Still unimpressed by it. Software needs a decent rewrite.

Especially when you see what other manufacturers have done with their interpretation of a virtual cockpit. It makes this one seem like ZX Spectrum territory.

If the infotainment was "bolero level" it wouldn't have Nav. ;)

Well whatever has physical buttons and it had a smaller screen. Basement spec

It’s just the standard screen in the Arteon (there is only one) called discover. Discover Pro is an option only and brings a larger screen, pointless gesture control and frustrating lack of buttons.

Thanks :) I was trying to remember who has one. So I was correct it wasn't the high end one.. clearly VW setting their levels differently to Skoda, but guessing the 2.0 Diesel 4motion DSG I had wouldn't be the lower end of their model range.
