How Much???!!!

Featured Replies

So as not to hijack stevevrs's thread anymore in relation to the Fabia vRS accelerator pedal cover on my car, I've started this thread.

It seems to be a common fault that these things wear badly or just plain fall off.

Mine has fallen off and is lost so no warranty claim for me.

Yesterday I phoned my local dealer, and thought he had the wrong part number with the price he quoted me. Today I phoned another dealer, and it was even dearer there. I then phoned my local SEAT dealer to see what the equivalent SEAT part would cost......

Yep just a little metal cover with rubber grips - over sixty quid including VAT!!!!

Scandalous to say the least. My car will now see it's days out with me wearing just the rubber pedal cover.

This was covered quite a while ago, and if you do a search you will find it.

mine fell off 6 months ago, asked the dealer to take a look but they didnt. my fiancéé then hada go at putting it back on and hey presto, it's fit back on perfectly.

have you tried to fit it again?

They're £10 from VAGparts

I have searched, that's how I know it's a common problem.:)

Never seen the price mentioned in any of the threads so far though, unless the shock of it gave me a memory block!

Can't refit my old cover either as I don't have it. :thumbdwn:

Couldn't find one on VAG parts either, only TT items which I have had before on my old Leon Cupra and didn't fit that well.

I needed a vRS pedal for my conversion to work correctly, and I looked into the cost new - I think it was only £80+vat (ish) - so an extra £30 gets you a whole accelerator switch...

Check out vag parts - also jhmbuttco.com and euro car parts maybe as well (just gone up on Makro end of Marsh Barton ;) - Behind Jaguar/Volvo)

Just been looking on VAG parts again and not sure whether to order a LHD or RHD TT pedal cover. From memory I think mk4 Ibizas required the LHD pedal(?).

The RS4 covers look well smart though, and costs about the same for a full set as one Fabia one costs!!!!

Or go to a dealer and take a vRS out for a "test drive" ;)

Quick update in case any one else has the same problem.

Common conversion with Ibiza owners is to use the LHD Audi TT pedal cover.

I can now confirm that the Fabia pedal is a completely different shape and the TT part won't fit the vRS.

12 quid down the pan!!!

check on ebay mate some one with shop called cheekyczechs skoda merchandise has set up for auction on his page starting 99p aint brought from him before but will probly be less than
