@wiganken1 VW, BMW, Daimler-Mercedes would have had it as a 'OPF',  as in Otto particle filter or as some said Otto particulate filter. (Ottopartikelfilter) ,

so thankfully the 'media' and manufacturers seem to have gone with GPF.

& with diesels DPF.

My Citroen has a 'PPF' according to the manual....petrol particulate filter. I think that is something the Uk distributors asked for. Very interesting!

EM, A bit too much like PPI -  Hope you don't get lots of solicitors phone calls!

Seriously though, it looks like the PSA group have got their act together, but I guess it depends on what their aftersales support is like. Better than Skoda I hope.

Oh no!!...PPI & PPF, yes they do sound very much the same!  Ring ring....Oh hello sir. I understand you have a French car. If that's the case you may have PPF attached to it! If you weren't told about this, you could be owed thousands of pounds in compensation!!!  Arrrrh!

My Citroen/Peugeot dealer seems to be spot on with the way they handled every thing. They tell me Citroen has invested considerably in their service network enabling spares and service items to be obtained really quickly and it was a robust system. I've not tested that...yet!  My dealer has the countries Citroen master tech of the year runner up working for them who was very happy to guide me around the car and in particular the engine before we purchased a car. Nearly all the dealers techs had new C3's as their own personal transport, bought and paid for by them. Pretty good sign when techs do that. He didn't know we were looking to purchase one. All I did was wander carefully into the workshop and ask how good or bad the new C3's were and what issue's they are having, if any. His response and that of other techs who were present at the time was to offer the guided tour of a C3 that was having it's first service. It was up on the ramp being worked on. I was impressed with the way it was put together and the ease of maintenance, and indeed that 1.2 Turbocharged engine. And, no issues were being experienced with the cars since their inception into the UK market 2 years ago. So looking good. I did lots of other research on the brand and the C3 to make sure they weren't telling porkies. It transpired what they were saying was correct.

Is this a Skoda forum or a Citroen forum?

It seems virtually every topic appears to have Citroen mentioned in it at the moment.
