Has anyone fitted a dash cam (wired) into their Koroq I was wondering how hard it is

John_S gave a great explanation, although I still struggled with releasing the glovebox and Progress Skoda couldn't even do it! However, I have persisted and taken some photos which might help. They show where the stops are that stop the glovebox from opening too far and the slow drop bar/arm which has to be disengaged from the right hand side of the glovebox to let it fall further (this is the bit that Progress couldn't do). I have put some explanation on the photos. Just one other thing, the piggyback fuse connector you need is standard size, not mini. Hope this helps.

Just to add my own experience to the comprehensive photo instructions above for anyone fitting a dash cam.

 

Sitting in the front passenger seat, open the glovebox. On the right hand side of it the bottom of the damper is visible. The visible end of the damper is latched into the snowman shaped hole. Push the bottom of the damper away from you, towards the engine. It will click into the bigger hole and then can be pulled to the right to release it. The glovebox will then drop down to the bump stops. I found gently prising them to the side with flat blade screwdrivers was easiest.  The glovebox drops down out of the way then giving you access to the fusebox to do your wiring........!

Just mounted a dash cam on my Karoq and I think it looks pretty good.

The price was 50$ and it's a fhd camera 1920×1080 30fps, no wirring to the fusebox was neccessary, it came with a power cable that connects to the rain sensor.
