Tsi 280 badge

Featured Replies

Anyone come across one of these on the tailgate before?

Skoda or some add on?

It's from a Cupra.

As @john999boy says, that's off a Cupra 280.

You should have on the LHS a Skoda badge. On the right, a Superb badge. Then a 4x4 beneath that

Less badges = more power. The previous owner of your car was unaware of this....presumably they assumed additional badges added 5 bhp

Well I had never seen such badging when researching before buying, so not surprised.

What I am surprised about is that the middle aged lady, previous keeper, who pretty much wrapped the car up in cotton wool and put minimal use and mileage on the car would put such an abomination on it.

Oh my, remove that thing asap! Fake badging should be the 8th deadly sin...

Oi! :tongueout:

A similar one looks perfectly fine on my Cupra lol.

Doh I have Audi centre caps on my 8 alloys that fit my Octavia, it's the little details that count. The Skoda front grill still confuses some people. Filling up at a Shell garage a few days ago and the cashier asked me whether my car was a BMW. Took it as a compliment rather than explain.

I am not sure the owner is really a middle aged woman... Maybe her other half or young son put that on lol.

You could upgrade to the 290 or 300 badges which are sure to make your car even faster.

Observation of vehicle, records etc

Then after that Mr.Google is your friend for researching the vast majority of the population

A remap and look for a 350 badge. Or just put on a Greenline badge to fool unsuspecting people. Green line badge give no extra power but I heard you gain 5mpg!

Don't forget Nissan did a 370 as well as the slower 350Z car.:notme:

Ah but these bhp designation badges ruin the whole sleeper/Q car appeal of the Superb 280.  I even try to hide the fact I'm filling up with a green filler gun :bandit:

One of the sales guys at our local Skoda dealer took a look at mine and said "oh that's got real exhausts" and give an approving nod and smile.  That's all you need.

I'm with @penguin17, I like people not knowing.

I think we've got the same wheels. I picked up a workmate and he asked when I got an Audi! I promptly corrected him and reminded him that whilst I am a numpty, I'm not that much of a numpty!

Is the paint coming off above the 'O'?

Either, just a crappy picture or dirt on the paintwork.

No worries, all clean now.
