Kessy Remote Key with Movement Sensor

Featured Replies

Some talk on the Areca forum about the latest ones being delivered having a extra level of security, a movement sensor in the fob so that the scroats can't grab a signal and make off with your new motor.

Anyone here got a recently delivered Karoq with the new keys?

Do they look the same, can you tell they have the sensor built in, or are Skoda not deemed worthy yet?

What do the new keys look like?

Here is thread on Areca

I don't see such piece in my Manual. Anyone has more info or can check with Skoda if we also have this advanced key fobs. Or we can buy them? (I asked dealer - he has no clue. Wrote to Skoda - no reply)

Interesting article about keyless tech here from PetrolPrices.com   https://www.petrolprices.com/news/cars-more-likely-stolen-before/

The General German Automobile Club (ADAC) seem to have done some in-depth investigations in to this, and it appears that of all the cars tested, only Jaguar Land Rover are getting their act together regarding fitting motion sensors to their key fobs. This is relatively easy technology, and is something which should be shared within the automotive industry asap.
