Hello, been a lurker for a couple of months, thought I’d introduce myself and my car.

 

Vrs 2.0 petrol DSG. Loving it so far! Had a new Cat back exhaust last week, and planning a stage 1 re map in a few weeks to really liven her up (not that she needs it really!)

Just a hard standing for a farm, being in Norfolk there are a few available!

Welcome Stevo that's quite a rare colour for the MK2 very stealth. If you use Tesco Momentum or Shell V-Power Nitro (both 99 octane) you should end up with around 250bhp from the standard 197bhp.

Well it’s been a busy few weeks. Stage 1 remap, custom cat back exhaust, rear window tint.

 

Shes now where I want her, really livened her up now. Had a good cleaning session today in the stunning weather with a wax and polish.

No I didn’t at this stage, planning on doing a Dyno at some point though. Certainly seems more than the expected 50bhp increase though, but that could be the extra torque I’m now getting.

 

i will add, if I drive sensibly I’m now getting 40mpg!

Yeah my torque went from370NM to 517NM. The RS3 with 395bhp has 480NM just for comparison. This week managed a 43.3mpg commute pretty impressive with 330bhp available at 5,000rpm. Current tank (only 50 litres remember) should give around 430 miles at just under 40mpg average.

Very nice spec car. If you've been on this site or are familiar with the issue, I assume you have checked whether it needs or has already has had a revised cam tensioner.

Yes well aware, usuals changed before I bought the car.
