Hey folks. I'm currently leasing a 67 Plate Rapid taxi, Trying to use leads to get my old Mk1 Octavia started again.

I'm trying to figure out where the Negative node is to attach the cable on the Rapid? I see the Red positive, that's clear enough. Probably don't help when it's dark, and i'm clueless with this stuff. Probs best check again tomorrow.

Can't see anything on YouTube or google.

TIA ;)

Find bare metal in the engine compartment, or in your case on the engine.

Brilliant, Thanks for your help. :)

Great post ^^^ @Skoffski thanks.

In my ignorance of such things, I worry the electronics on one of the cars could be damaged by jump starting.

Am I worrying unnecessarily?  Cheers

It's a possibility but connecting the -ve to a body/engine point rather than the -ve terminal reduces the risks involved.

And obviously making sure you get the leads on the right way!
