Replacement Wiper Blades

Mine lasted 3 years and nearly 30k. miles though I'm only commuting 40 miles a day, 3 days a week now. Only reason I need to replace them is because of the noise.

Funnily enough we've had to replace them more often on my wife's Mini even though it's low mileage.

Less judder with the Yeti because it keeps changing the rest point to stop the rubber taking a set, "Simply Clever"

Ditto, I have never had a set last more than about a year or 15k before they start to fail. Normally the rubber blade starts to tear off at the end.

My TT will be 5 years old later this year and is still on it's originals. It's only done 9k. miles though and rarely goes out in the wet! :D

The wheel centre caps are also unmarked though I notice that the replacements on the Yeti have started to get white worm again. Then again, it does do a few more miles!

Wiper blades should be arriving today so looking forward to much quietness. Good point about the windscreen, I shall give that a good clean.

Windscreen washed.

Polished with Autoglym Glass Polish.

Replaced wiper blades.

Swept back to normal park position.

Bliss - silence!

Good job I replaced them as they were badly split and if left much longer could have damaged the screen. Hadn't noticed this when washing the car a couple of weeks ago so had deteriorated quickly. As commented probably due to ice on screen.

An associated point, I found it beneficial to properly clean my windscreen as I had a bit of judder from accumulated road/exhaust crud as well as car shampoo wax, I use MUCK OFF, a pink degreasing solution for cleaning  motor bikes, it does make quite a bit of difference especially at this time of year

Same here, great for bikes but I also spray for the wheels and sills on the car and leave for a few minutes before washing off.
Much cheaper in bulk.

I've got some some where in the garage that I used to use on my trail bike. Sold that some years ago and my road bikes, mainly Triumphs, don't get that dirty, so I tend to use the car shampoo.

I've still got my CCM 644 Dual Sport though and will use that on some of the easier going trails.

I recently took a punt and went for a cheaper set of wipers on eBay, did have luck with them in the past.

Moral of the story: When you're on the motorway, heavy rain, rush hour and can't really see where you're going... do you care about that £10 saving you made?

I went for Bosch Aerotwin, served me very well so far

Yes, so good I've put a set on my wife's Mini as well.

Those on my TT are getting towards 5 years old now and wipe fine (due to lack of use, only done 9k. miles!) but I'm going to change those anyway as a precaution and probable hardening of the rubber.
