Warning lights popping up galore!

Featured Replies

Quite odd really - Stu's turing down of the EGR trick sadly didn't cure the EGR fault code reappearing and making the engine light come on again. And yesterday evening I had the low washer fluid beep, the low fuel beep, AND the bulb gone beep (damn nearisde dipped beam again)

Every BEEEEEEP was scaring me to death.

How many warning lights is that now Jason?

Well, permanent now would be airbag one. Engine light just comes and goes as the EGR faults disappears / pops up. :D

And all the rest are gone, or are solveable by topping up fluids or replacing bulbs. :D

I wonder if you could find out a bit more about the EGR cct Jason. Perhaps it just nees to see a resistance in which case you could put a resistor into the cct.

Doh!

cct = circuit? Not sure to be honest how to go about looking into anything related to it? But it came up with the same "range exceeded-EGR" fault.

Edit: Oooh, its stopped raining - time to top up washer fluid, and lose some knuckle skin changing nearside bulb. :)

Didn't you have the EGR blocked off completely? If so I'd try to measure the signal of a car that has it 'as per normal' and replicate it, should silence it then :)

Oh, it's well blanked off :D and not being unblanked for anything. ;)

Anyway, got the washer fluid topped up, but it started raining so had to quit on the bulb replacement. Gotta do it by Thursday though - MOT test.

Leave the handbrake on whilst driving - another beep for you! :D

What's the airbag one caused by? Are you running a steering wheel without an airbag or did the donor car have side airbags fitted?
