shark performance gone - who now ?

Featured Replies

I’d just use a decent brand dot 4, I’m going to put pagid in mine next week.

If its for aesthetics, I’d use grooved ones as they do actually have a purpose.

Fronts are 312mm I believe and rears seem to range from 288mm, 282mm, as low as 272mm online. I think Skoda state 282 mm but I’ve not changed the discs on the octy so I’m not sure which it actually is so hopefully someone will be able to clarify that for you.

Got Revo on our MK2 fl. Had to get a new DMF and clutch then there was an issue with the actuator then had to get the turbo and DPF refurbished and EGR cleaned out.

All that just as soon as the remap was done. Cost an absolute klondyde. Never had a single issue before it was done. All running not too bad now but not as smooth as it could be. 205 bhp and 426 nm torque (I think). Pulls like a train but think I would get a custom map next time. Best MPG so far 55.65 measured brim to brim.

Did the tuner do a health check on the car before the map was applied?

Got tuning box for sale if you wanna try going down that route.

Yes, Dyno before. Everything was spot on.

Glad I came across this thread as I too was wondering who to get my remap with now that Shark have gone. Again, I found that Racingline didn’t list products for the MkII vRS diesel.

I believe I’ve had the emissions fix as I recall calling up the previous owner and him mentioning something along these lines, t’was a couple of years ago mind. My main dealer haven’t said anything is outstanding and it’s been serviced by them for the last couple of years.

@Gissin how did you get on at their HQ?

Shark haven’t gone. Their dealer network is still up and running and fully supported.

When 'ben' Contacted me when I got in touch with RL I accepted to go down to their HQ and asked for a date, 4 emails later and total silence , pretty disappointing really.

Im going to be using Midland VW sometime in Sep

Two I can think of, Unit18 Automotive and AW Tuning are the only garages I would take my car too.
