Paddle shift levers

Recommended Posts

Don't pay that much!!!!

There's a fair few sellers on ebay that buy these direct from China for £5-10, from AliExpress then add a silly markup!

I got these direct and they've been flawless.  I went for the 'machined black' so they blend in to the interior a bit better.  Quality is excellent and I much prefer the lever position now as I can blip the paddles without taking my hands from the 10 to 2 position, with my pinkies.

EDIT: Obviously check fitment etc for yourself but a quick search and I found these:

Good shout.

Was that link to the exact part you ordered?

Yes the first link I posted was from my order history. Arrived within 2 week IIRC.  The same ones were available on eBay from a UK seller, at the time, for £30!

They look tidy.

Now it's silver or black finish....

Cheers for the link... Cheap Chinese goods have their uses on some parts.

They are not cheap even at 15quid. These parts costs very little to produce.

  • 1 month later...

I have the same ones as penguin....12 months on they are perfect, the 3m adhesive pads give a limpet like adhesion, no problems with them ever coming off.....or ever being able to remove them!

Hi all,

Can you tell me if these are easy to install? I'm not great at DIY.:notme:

It's quite a complicated process but I'll try to summarise it as concisely as possible:

1. Remove adhesive backing tape

2. Affix to existing paddle

3. Press and hold for a while.

:D

but seriously, it's a doddle.  If you get them and still aren't sure then just post on here and I'm sure one of us will be able to get on the phone or similar but honestly I think you'll be fine.

Does anyone know if these will fit the superb?  They look quite good as they are a replacement rather than a stick on.

Thx

I'm not 100% sure but the stick on paddle extensions which fit the Superb 3 are for the Golf 5/6 as the factory paddles for the Golf 7 have slightly different dimensions/ergonomics.  Whether that is exclusive to just the contact parts or the paddle 'assembly' itself would need to be confirmed.  It's unlikely though not impossible that they introduced a whole new assembly/fitment when they introduced the Mk7.

So mk5/6 ones would fit if i found some suitable for those.

The mk5/6 Golf paddles did not work on my mk2 Octavia RS.

The Skoda paddles design was the same as the Audi paddles, not VW paddles.

I don't know what the case is for the paddles in the mk3 Skoda.....
